Write a word on the iPad and your Mac types it into the app in front. Good for layer names, file names and searches.

Write

  1. Tap Write in the side rail to open the ink pad.
  2. Write a word or a line with the Pencil.After a short pause the iPad reads it and your Mac types the text.
  3. To erase a word before it is read, rub back and forth over it.

Where the text goes

Text goes to whichever field has focus on your Mac. If nothing appears, click into a text field first.

Your handwriting is read on the iPad with Apple's built-in text recognition. Only the finished text goes to your Mac; your ink is never uploaded.
